An Android app that has replaced the notebook: it keeps track of pipes supplied to customers, how much each one owes, and the full payment history – all directly from your phone.
The pipes given to customers were recorded in a notebook. How much each person had taken, how much they had returned, how much they still owed — everything was recorded on paper and committed to memory.
I’ve created a mobile app that keeps track of everything: each customer has their own file, listing the pipes by type (FI 160, FI 200, FI 250, solid or with a filter), the price per piece and the total amount due, which is calculated automatically. It now has 41 customers and nearly 300 pipes on record.
Any additions or removals are recorded in the history log, complete with date and time, so there’s no longer any room for arguments such as ‘I didn’t take that much’.
The first version was a web application built using Tauri and Capacitor. We then rebuilt it as a dedicated Android app, which is faster and simpler. It is installed directly from the APK file, without using the Play Store, as it is an internal app intended solely for the company.
